The whole destruction was organised leaders of BJP and their ideologues, RSS, VHP and Bajrang Dal. At center the Congress government also supported and put up ‘No Action Strategy‘. This criminal act had great violence and created communal riots among the communities and claiming over 2000 lives.

However, at the centre, the commission downplayed the role of Narasimha Rao government.

The Allahabad High Court ruled that the 2,400 square feet distributed the piece of land on 24 September 2010, on the piece of land on which the Babri Masjid stood and was demolished in 1992 on 6th December. the court divided it into three parts, the site was given to Hindus where the idol of Lord Ram had been placed. The Dispute

On the orders of Babar, the first Mughal emperor of India, Mir Baqi constructed Babri Masjid in 1528, and the masjid was named after the first Mughal Emperor. According to Hindus, Mir Baqi destroyed the Lord Ram Temple which was existing and constructed the mosque. Hindus believed that the site where mosque was built was the birthplace of Lord ram, the 7th avatar of Lord Vishnu. Historians, Muslims and Non-Muslim Critics claimed that there was not indication about the birthplace of lord Ram or there was temple existing while contrasting the Mosque.

Conflict Begins

In 1949, on 22nd December, when the police guards were asleep, statues of Ram and Sita were brought and erected in the mosque. They played mischief with he idols just to bid the conversion of mosque to the temple. Jawaharlal Nehru the PM wrote to the Uttar Pradesh CM, G B Pant, demanding the removal of the idols because “a dangerous example is being set there.” Faizabad deputy commissioner K K Nayar, joined the Jana Sangh Party and became a member of the parliament and dismiss the concern of removal of idols. The masjid was locked for next 40 years.

conflict

In 1989, Rajiv Gandhi,Nehru’s grandson, ordered it to be reopened in fear of losing popular sentiments. Later Babri Masjid had gained some function at the temple. In the next three years BJP leaders along with RSS, VHP and Bajrang Dal workers ran a campaign to build the temple at the site. Wehn KAr Sevaks, on 6th december 1992 following the  the rath yatra of L K Advani,Ayodhya moved towards the mosques and demolished the 400 year old historical monument. Security officers and Central Government of Narasimha Rao at that site acted ignorant about the whole scene.
