Bengaluru recently received some much-needed rain on Sunday and everyone on social media couldn’t stop showing happiness but along with the showers returned the toxic froth from the Varathur Lake, which is one of many lakes plagued with problems in Bengaluru. Varathur lake near Whitefield Main Road started foaming again and not only this, the froth spilled onto the roads causing inconvenience to commuters.
The toxic and chemical snowfall created chaos on the city’s Whitefield Main Road. Commuters faced trouble while managing traffic adding the unbearable stink coming from the froth. However, this is not the first time that this has happened, last year in April, the same had happened from the Varthur Lake.
The pictures and videos have been posted by the locals on social media, with many criticizing the civic bodies.

A thick smog surrounded the heavily-polluted lake, making it difficult for the passers-by to breathe. The Bellandur Lake in the city made headlines recently, for catching fire on May 7.
