We have always called dogs as man’s best friend, and there are so many more incidents that have proved it so right. And this saying has been proved right again in the heartwarming event. A stray dog walked over a long and tiring of 600 kilometers following a human.
Naveen was hailing from Kozhikode in Kerala to a pilgrimage to Sabarimala shrine. It took 17 days to reach the pilgrimage by foot. All through the journey, the dog stood by him and he Naveen knew tat he has found a companion and a friend. Naveen Kerala State Electricity Board employee, when he began his journey on 7th December, he was worried as several dogs came towards him, but he had to shoo them off, but Malu made a special place in his heart.
It was the second day of the journey, and Naveen had covered 80 km of distance, and he noticed that the dog was still following him. Sometimes the dog walking in front of Naveen or sometimes he was walking behind him. Malu had eventually won Naveen’s heart.
Throughout the whole journey of 600 km, she would wait patiently when Naveen used to go for food or bath and safeguard his bag. The devotees had seen the two of them walking together they contacted Naveen and told him that his friends Malu was waiting for him and is sniffing the people around him and is finding you.
When Naveen finally made his journey back from pilgrimage, Malu accompanied him back home and had made herself very comfortable in the house and been a part of the family. She now proudly wears a brown necklace that reminds her that she is a part of the family.
