Shocking! On Friday morning, in Fazilka a gruesome road accident took place which had total 13 people including the driver. Winter morning traps the North-India in intense fog. The teachers who met with a road accident were trapped into the early morning fog and got hit with a truck. A head-on collision with the truck of the jeep and worse accident said the eye witness of the accident.
The jeep had five women teachers and seven men teachers and the driver of the jeep. Driver and the five teachers died on the spot while some were critically injured and were taken to the hospital but there are very fewer chances of they being alive. The twelve teachers who have died all belong to the government school and as everyday routine was going to the job.
Gopi Chand had been immediately taken to a hospital at Abohar as he was in a very critical condition. While the deceased bodies have been shifted to Civil Hospital at Fazilka. ETT teachers who were appointed were also among the teachers.
The incident took place at 8 am in the Morning on Fazilka-Jalalabad road.
Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh has condoled the deaths and their families. After which the AAP leader also appealed the state government to take some serious consideration on the incident. Climate change is affecting the state and therefore the state has decided to change the timing of the opening of schools in Punjab and shift it a bit late. People safety and security is prior importance for the state govt.
AAP Punjab Convener, Gurpreet Singh Waraich also gives sad condolence to the death in a sad moment for the whole state and even expressed solidarity with the bereaved families. No more risk can be taken of deaths just for the reason of fog and due action has been taken for such serious issue.
